Ricky LaRocca is the ultimate strength trainer and body shaper. Training seriously with a IFFB Pro-body builder, named Emeric Delczeg after his early years involved in athletics, Ricky became a Nationally Ranked Strongman Competitor almost over night. Countless hours of training kept Ricky in the gym and put him into the field of training professionally.
In 1994 Ricky’s career as a personal trainer started at Power Plant in San Carlos, California where he became ISSA certified. In 1999 he was recruited into competitive Power Lifting. Two years later he accepted the position of Fitness Manager at Starks Gym. Concurrently training and training himself, Ricky competed for two years. By 2002 Ricky started successfully competing as a Strong Man. Continuing to compete one-year later, he moved his training expertise to Body Tonic in San Francisco. Over the next two years, Ricky was listed, The 100 Best Trainers in America by Men’s Journal and ranked Top 10 Amateur Strong Man in North America. Recently Ricky was named, Personal trainer of the month, in Pro-Trainer Online Magazine.
Ricky uses strongman, power lifting and bodybuilding techniques in his training style with average individuals to achieve maximum results for his clients. He focuses on increasing strength, speed, and agility, while conquering each individual’s fitness goals. Each program is customized for individuals and individual athletes. Working at Body Mechanix has allowed Ricky the opportunity to pay more attention to his clients and lower his rates, giving his clients much more for their money.
Sponsored by Snac Systems, Ricky continues to train for Strong Man Competitions when he is not training his clients at Body Mechanix. His most recent successes include; A Strong Man Contest named an event, LaRocca’s Dead lift for reps. He impressively broke the unofficial weight record doing the farmer’s walk with 405 pounds in each hand, as seen in Dale-Hayden’s Speed and Strength Newsletter in 2004. He held the State Record for 2 years for the World Association of Bench Pressers and Dead Lifters for the event, Single-Lift Dead Lift and Power Lifting USA Magazine Achievement Award ranked him one of the top 100 dead lifting athletes in the Super Heavy Weight class in 2003 and 2004.
